ITQ

How will ITQ help you?
ITQ has been devised to allow for different skills to be learned and assessed at different levels - from word processing and spreadsheet skills to bespoke units which focus on specific organisational or industry software. This improves individual employee skills and can help accelerate the uptake of new technology within the business environment.

What will you learn?
To ensure you only train in the skills most relevant to you, we provide an online diagnostic - ITQ Planner - to assess the IT requirements within your job role and identify your skills gaps. A tailored programme selecting the most suitable units available will then be developed. This means you can have a different tailored route to your ITQ, and by only training in the skills you actually need. This can reduce the time spent on gaining ITQ.
The course covers word processing, databases, spreadsheets and presentation tools, to the use of the internet and intranets and electronic communication methods.
It is likely that you will take between 3 and 5 additional units to achieve ITQ level 2, depending on your current IT skills and your job requirements, but this could be less if you already have an IT qualification. For a full explanation of the units available and how they can be tailored to add up to an ITQ contact your local centre to arrange a demonstration of the learndirect ITQ Planner.
